The small rural village of Eye has a post office, iron monger, butcher, newsagent, hair dresser, bank, delicatessen, antiques shops and small supermarket. So it's not completely cut off from civilisation. Situated near to the Suffolk/Norfolk border and surrounded by fields Chobbs Barn is easily reached by car.
From the A140, take any turning signposted for Eye. The Barn is located on a quiet private lane called Brome Avenue at Langton Green, just out of the village of Eye heading towards Diss on the B1077 near to Eye Bowls Club.

Having a car is definitely a benefit as you're now in the Suffolk countryside! There are beautiful places to visit but we would recommend you have your own transport unless you enjoy walking or cycling. Chobbs Barn is only 1.5 hours from central London and the Eurotunnel.
If you are arriving by train at Diss main line station you will need to arrange a taxi to meet you. Diss is only 4 miles from Chobbs Barn and the taxi ride only takes 10 minutes, the charge is about £6.
